ERIC IDLE RETURNS TO AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND NOV/DEC 2026

Always look on the bright side of life… because Monty Python legend Eric Idle is heading back Down Under this November and December for An Evening of Idle Conversation.
Following his hugely entertaining 2024 visit, the legendary comedian, actor, writer and songwriter will take audiences through more than six decades of comedy, show business and unforgettable stories. From the madness of Monty Python to Life of Brian, The Rutles, Spamalot and beyond.
The unscripted live shows will see Idle open up about the highs and lows of his extraordinary career, sharing memories of friends including Graham Chapman, George Harrison and Robin Williams, along with stories behind some of his most famous work. Fans will also have the opportunity to put their own questions to him during the evening.
The tour coincides with the release of Idle’s new memoir, Idle in Provence: A Brief History of Thyme, with copies available at the events.
