ZZ TOP:

American blues rock giants ZZ Top made their final stop on their Nationwide tour in Sydney last night. Sharpely dressed in floral studded suits, Billy Gibbons and Elwood Francis strutted through their riffing hits including Gimme All Your Lovin, Legs, Sharp Dressed Man and La Grange. Filling in for Frank Beard was their Drum tech John Douglas while John receiving health treatments. John was a well qualified substitute and keep the seat warm aswell as the groove. ZZ Top also proved that you didn't need laser shows, giant screens or pyrotechnics to wow a crowd, all you need is pure Rock N Roll.

GEORGE THOROGOOD & THE DESTROYERS:

The "high-energy boogie-blues" George Thorogood and The Destroyers also wrapped up their Australian residency with ZZ Top, Red Hot Summer Tour and Bluesfest Byron Bay. Highlight of the set was the instantly recognisable bad ass attitude defying riff of Bad To The Bone which defines George's rebelous ego.

DALLAS FRASCA:

Melbourne born force of nature Dallas Frasca told the crowd that her main task that night was to warm them for what was coming. She didn't hold back! Starting off her set with her signatures including Anything Left To Wonder, All My Love, River Queen followed by belting out a Led Zeppelin medley. Not an easy task to pull of but Dallas knocked it out of the park. I personally compared her roaring vocals to Heart's Ann Wilson. A truly majestic and vocally powerful presence
