Australia's answer to Bob Dylan, Paul Kelly returned to Sydney to perform a string of his 40 year catalogue and new material whilst on his current tour across the country and New Zealand.
Joining him on the the tour is Tallimba country singer Fanny Lumsden and the Grammy award winning rock & country singer Lucinda Williams.
Lucinda got things moving with her stories and nods to Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Neil Young and a tribute to her good friend Tom Petty. It was great to see her come on stage without the aid of a walking stick after her stroke in 2020 which left her frail which would be a career killer for most acts.

Paul prooved to Qudos Bank Arena that he wasn't done yet and it wasn't just a nostalgic show as the storyteller continues moving forward. Personal highlights include the aussie pub classics "Dumb Things" and "To Her Door", true Australiana. A new release "Rita Wrote A Letter" which is the sequel to Kelly's Christmas anthem "How To Make Gravy" follows the story of Joe, Dan and Rita was performed live for the first time in Sydney. A deeply satisfying mix of emotional songwriting, musical craftsmanship, and arena-scale showmanship. For many fans, this was a bittersweet “biggest-ever” statement for Kelly—firmly rooted in his legacy, and robustly forward-looking.
Paul and the band including his nephew Dan Kelly turned a sold out arena show into a small sit down intimate experience. The tour coincided with the release his 30th album set to be released in November ironically named "Seventy" to celebrate Kelly's first 70 years of life on earth and we look forward to the next 70 years of this storyteller's journey.
